The wedding date is set. You have everything scheduled, now you want to make your wedding invitations. Should you get one of those DIY wedding invitation kits.

If you have a local print shop that is a good place to start for paper stock. Ask if they have any envelopes that can be used for invitations. Many times they have odd amounts of envelopes. I worked in a print shop for years. We even owned two. At any given time they usually have some boxes of opened envelopes. These come with 250 envelopes in a box and cases of 1000. If they have a box with only 150 they will usually sell them. You may have to count them as they don't like to waste time with that many.
Once you have the envelopes you can get card stock cut to match the size envelopes you have. Get two sizes if you are doing an invitation and an RSVP. If possible get stock cut for you reception cards at the same time. Usually your reception cards match the RSVP with no envelopes for them.
If you are wanting to make your wedding announcements more economically try the seal and send invitations. With these you can check with your local print shop. If they have cardstock they can cut to 6 x 14 inches this will work. You can easily get your information on these.
If you do the seal and send you will have return post cards for RSVPs. Adding a perforation and score points will be easy. There are several ways to do this.
